Early morning Anjalis, or late-night house parties? Pujo is so much more than just pandal hopping… Here’s a list of all the things to keep in your wardrobe when stepping out for everything else during Pujo, just the way Mouni Roy did!
Card games, adda, chai and midnight parties!
What more do you need during Pujo, than quality ‘chill’ time with your friends and loved ones. Add a movie to the list, or some puchka hogging! Wear comfy dresses with jackets, or a stylish, bright crop top with your denims. And what better than that eccentric blazer over your shirt and jeans for guys?
‘Shokal er anjali’ Morning Anjali!
Like clockwork you wake up super early on Pujo nights to attend the morning Anjajli, no matter how late you stayed up last night! You’re showered and dressed and rushing your family to make it to the nearest pandal and soon chanting those beautiful, soothing words of love and gratefulness for Durga Ma.
Wear some bright colored, embellished kurta with a stark dupatta that matches the flowers in your hand. Pair them with dangling jhumkas or hoop earrings and a pair of kadas.
Oh, the image of this beautiful dance will never leave our minds! Flowing dresses, the haze of burning dhunuchi, the mesmerizing smell of it and the sound of dhak that you get hooked on to!
For your Dhunuchi performance, get dressed in a beautiful long skirt with crop tops of kurtis or a dhoti saree whose paar will follow your moves!
Concerts, events, cultural fests
Your favorite singer’s in town to perform? Or the band you can’t stop listening to? Or maybe a dance show with all your beloved celebrities?
Wear some bling, while keeping it in the zone of ethnic fusion, so you can hop between events and pandals in style! A red kurta with an embroidered bandhgala is our fav look for men, this season! And to match with your bae, wear printed red palazzos with a contrasting Kurta to go.
Stock up on all these looks and slay this Pujo in style, with the Lifestyle Pujo Collection, curated by Mouni Roy!
